Welcome to the official website of the Norfolk Alumni Chapter, Inc. of the Norfolk State University Alumni Association. We are delighted that you are here, and we look forward to keeping you connected to the positive news, meaningful work, and exciting events of our chapter and our beloved alma mater, Norfolk State University.

The Norfolk Alumni Chapter, Inc. holds a special place in Spartan history as the first alumni chapter of Norfolk State University. Our mission is to support current and future Spartans by raising funds for scholarships, assisting with university events and initiatives, and proudly representing Norfolk State University throughout our community.

Many may know our chapter through our 50/50 raffle efforts at select home football and basketball games, but our service extends far beyond game day. We are proud to support a wide range of university programs and events, including NSU Theatre, the arts, academics, athletics, Senior Toast, Spartan Promise Mentoring, The Career Closet, Homecoming activities, and many other initiatives that uplift our students and strengthen the Spartan experience.

One of our greatest honors is awarding scholarships and providing financial assistance to current and prospective Norfolk State University students. We believe deeply in investing in the next generation of Spartans and helping them pursue their academic and professional goals.

Our chapter is also committed to serving the broader Hampton Roads community. Through meaningful partnerships and volunteer efforts, we work to address food insecurity, support families in need, and give back to the community we are honored to serve. Our service projects include partnering with Second Calvary Baptist Church and the Southeastern Virginia Food Bank, adopting families during the holiday season, volunteering with The Community Feed at Jordan-Newby near NSU, participating in the NSUAA Adopt-A-Street project with the City of Norfolk, and beginning new community engagement efforts with the Ronald McDonald House.

In addition, we proudly serve as ambassadors for Norfolk State University by representing NSU at local college and career fairs, sharing the Spartan story with future students and families, and promoting the excellence of our university throughout the region.

As you can see, we love serving our alma mater, our students, our fellow Spartans, and our community. Our goal is to leave a lasting and positive impact while continuing to honor the rich legacy of Norfolk State University.
